Kochi: Former Kings XI opener Mandeep Singh has made a solid case for the national selectors with a second unbeaten fifty for Punjab in Group-B of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Sunday.
The 24-year-old played a swashbuckling 58 that steered Punjab to an effortless first win in the tournament, by 8 wickets, against Jammu & Kashmir. Punjab chased down 106 inside 15 overs.
Punjab was bolstered by the arrival of Harbhajan Singh who bagged 3 for 8 in his four overs.
