Nizamabad DCC: Expel MLC candidate for six years
Mr Hamdan said that Mr Reddy’s claim of paying Rs 2 crore to Congress.
Nizamabad: The Nizamabad DCC has proposed its MLC candidate K. Venkataramana Reddy be expelled from the party for six years. According to DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan, Mr Reddy colluded with the TRS to ensure the ruling party’s candidate won the MLC election.
Accusing the former zilla parishad chairman of levelling baseless allegations against Congress leaders, Mr Hamdan said that Mr Reddy’s claim of paying Rs 2 crore to Congress leaders was baseless.
“As Congress MLC candidate, Venkataramana Reddy did not spend a single paisa,” he said.
He said that a businessman played a key role in withdrawal of Mr Venkataramana Reddy’s from the MLC poll, which led to the TRS candidate being elected unanimously.
