Hyderabad: The 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysore has put on display several innovations of Defence Research and Development Organisation units. Advanced Avionics sensors and systems used in Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Agni 5, as also smart bombs and missiles developed by DRO Hyderabad are major draws.
Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of DRDO, Bengaluru, has developed the Snake Robot for use in search and rescue during earthquakes and inspections in constricted areas such as pipes, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. DRDO research products have been displayed at DRDO Pavilion at the mega science expo “Pride of India”, at the University of Mysore.
Advanced Torpedo Systems, Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, Remotely Operated Vehicle, Unmanned Ground Vehicle and Mobile Autonomous Robotic Systems are some of the other star attractions.
