SCR down Telangana, are champs

SCR pocketed Rs 20,000 while the runners-up took home Rs 15,000.
The South Central Railways rallied from a game down to defeat Telangana ‘A’ 3-1 in the final of the second edition of the Youth Dynamos Club silver jubilee commemorative volleyball tournament for the S.L.N. Rao and B. Premkumar memorial trophy played at the TSIIC colony court, ECIL crossroads in Hyderabad.
Riding on strong performances from Yeshwant, Ravi and David, Telangana ‘A’ took the opening game with consummate ease 25-19.
In the second game, SCR produced some brilliant team play to win it 25-22.
In the third game, both teams came up with strong performances with SCR eventually winning it 25-22 to go 2-1 up. Two games down, Telangana ‘A’ put on a valiant effort in the fourth game but it proved too little too late as SCR took the game 26-24 and with it, the match.
SCR pocketed Rs 20,000 while the runners-up took home Rs 15,000.
The final Result: South Central Railway bt Telangana ‘A’ 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24).
