Has Shraddha Kapoor bagged Half Girlfriend?

It looks like 2016 is a year of surprises for actress Shraddha Kapoor. Just a few days ago Karan Johar had announced the remake of the Tamil hit O Kadhal Kanmani to be directed by Shaad Ali where Shraddha Kapoor will be seen a female lead opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor.

And now, after much speculation, it is now being reported that actress Shraddha Kapoor will be seen as the leading lady in Mohit Suri’s next film Half Girlfriend.

The movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel of the same name. If the deal comes through, this will be the third collaboration between Mohit Suri and Shraddha Kapoor after Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. Earlier rumours doing the rounds had first indicated that Parineeti Chopra or Kriti Sanon might bag the role.

The makers have also roped in Sushant Singh Rajput for the male lead, who is currently shooting for Dhoni biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. Mohit Suri and Chetan Bhagat will also be co-producing the film.
