PM Modi visit: Mysuru turns into fortress

Mr Modi will land at the Mandakalli Airport around 5 pm on Saturday.

BENGALURU/Mysuru: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Mysuru, the police have made elaborate security arrangements across the city.

Mysuru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda said that the PM will stay in Lalit Mahal Palace Hotel on Saturday night. “We have made all security arrangements that have to be made as per protocol. Apart from the city police, the Special Protection Group commandos will also be there and they have already done a recce of the places the PM is scheduled to visit and have suggested some security arrangements.”

Mr Modi will land at the Mandakalli Airport around 5 pm on Saturday. From there he will go to Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashram on Mysuru-Nanjanagud Road, to attend an event. After that, he will head to Maharaja College Ground to inauguration the birth centenary celebrations of Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Swami. Later, he will head to the Lalit Mahal Palace Hotel.

On Sunday, he will take part in the inaugural event of Indian Science Congress at Open Air Theatre in Manasagangotri campus, before leaving for Tumkur in a helicopter.
