Karnataka: Whistleblower Sonia Narang out of Lokayukta

The state government has transferred 31 IPS officers and also promoted several others.

BENGALURU: In a major reshuffle, the state government has transferred 31 IPS officers and also promoted several others.

Prem Shankar Meena, ADGP, Lokayukta, has been promoted and posted as DGP (Training). Dr S. Parashiva Murthy, who was ADGP, KSRP, will replace him. IGP C.H. Pratap Reddy, who was Additional Commissioner of Police (West), Bengaluru, has also been promoted to the rank of ADGP and moved to the CID.

Some of the officers transferred to the city are IGP K.S.R. Charan Reddy (Additional Commissioner – West division), IGP R. Hitendra (Additional Commissioner - Administration), IGP K.V. Sharath Chandra (Additional Commissioner - Crime), Dr P.S. Harsha (DCP, North-East Division) and Dr M.B. Boralingaiah (DCP, South-East Division).

Sonia Narang has now been promoted as DIG, CID, while Dr Rohini Katoch Sepat will come in her place as SP, SIT, Lokayukta.
