Amitash all set for his debut in Hollywood
The film is about an American dancer.
Actor-model Amitash Pradhan, who debuted with the Dhanush film Veli Illa Pattadhari, has landed a plum role in the upcoming dance-based film Heartbeats, directed by the writer of the Step Up franchise, Duane Adler, well known for his screenplay and direction in movies like Make Your Move and Save The Last Dance.
To be shot in and around India, the film is about a female American hip-hop dancer who travels to India for a wedding and falls in love with a man who introduces her to the Indian style of dancing. Two female leads, Krystal Ellsworth and Aneesha Joshi are paired against Amitash in this dance based love triangle.
Krystal Ellsworth is an accomplished hip-hop dancer and actor from Los Angeles, while the latter is a reputed model based in New York. “I’m really excited about this project. We will start shooting from this month,” says Amitash, who is currently undergoing a rigorous dance workshop being conducted in Mumbai.
“Duane has roped in Emmy award-winner Tessandra Chavez and our own Shampa Gopikrishna, well known for Ram Leela and the recent Bajirao Mastani, for choreography. It is such an honour to be associated with eminent choreographers,” Amitash adds. Ace cinematographer Ravi Varman of the Tamasha fame, will make his debut in Hollywood and crank the camera.
