Kiss of love in new avatar in Kozhikode
Kozhikode: Kozhikode city will witness a new avatar of the ‘Kiss of Love’ protest under the banner of Nattuvela, a cultural organisation, opposed to fascism and intolerance, on New Year’s day.
The activists, who once participated in the Kiss of Love campaign against moral policing, will spill out into the streets for a symbolic protest in the form of skit, dance and music with the theme on fascism. It was a year ago that Kozhikode town witnessed the Kiss of Love campaign against the goons who had gone on the rampage at a restaurant here.
Sarath Babu, an organiser, said, “we will stand with the people against fascism as they have to live, grow and prosper together. The Kiss of Love campaign marked an era of change in society. We will oppose the Hindutva forces which paved the way for a corporate and autocratic nation,” he added.
The campaign against fascism will begin with a skit directed and starred by the members of Nattuvela.
