In spite of Vijayakanth’s assertion, the BJP here has been claiming that Vijayakanth was part of NDA until he officially announces to quit. “There is nothing to read between the lines.

We have never said Vajayakanth was not part of our alliance. Their meeting has taken place as it ought to between allies,” Ms. Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP state vice president said when contacted.
