Xiaomi Mi 5 leaked images and video surface online

The device is speculated to feature a 5.2-inch FHD/QHD display.

Mumbai: The never-ending rumours involving Xiaomi’s Mi 5 smartphone continues, as a new video and several leaked images have surfaced online yet again. The fresh leaks on Chinese Website Weibo revealed design and other significant details of the device.

The previous leaks were based more on speculation in contrast to the newly surfaced images and video, which revealed the front and rear sides of the device. The front side of the device appears to have 2.5D curved glass display and rear end of the device resembles the Mi Note.

Interestingly, the images reveal that the device does not feature any capacitive keys and only a capsule-shaped home key, which also appears to be the fingerprint scanner, is ideally positioned at the bottom.

The rear-end images of the handset revealed a standard camera set-up along with dual LED flash. Also, the device looks bigger than the company’s previous smartphones.

The video leak on Weibo demonstrated the device, revealing the user interface. Although there is nothing else mentioned in the video, this is the first legitimate video demonstration of the highly anticipated handset.

The Mi 5 is also expected to sport a 16MP primary camera with dual-LED flash, and a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The device may also feature a USB Type-C port.
