ATP Chennai Open: Ramkumar Ramanathan earns wild card
For both the singles and doubles main draw of the ATP Chennai Open.
New Delhi: Youngster Ramkumar Ramanathan was on Tuesday given wild cards for both the singles and doubles main draw of the ATP Chennai Open, beginning January 4. Ramkumar, who has been supported by the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association for several years now, will team up with N. Sriram Balaji for the doubles.
Ramkumar, who eked out a few memorable wins in 2015, touched a career high rank of 208 in the singles before ending the year as 248. The orgainsers also handed the doubles main draw wild card to Somdev Devvarman and Chennai’s Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.
