Foreigners, Bengalis throng Vizag for its pristine beauty.

Visakhapatnam: While Vizagites prefer Goa and other places to celebrate the New Year eve, foreigners from a few countries and others from West Bengal, Odisha, Telanagana and a few other states are reaching Vizag to welcome the New Year. Most of the star hotels in the city are occupied by foreigners and Bengalis. Keeping in view the inflow of foreign and domestic tourists, the city hotels have planned programmes to provide complete entertainment to them on December 31 night and January 1 with a wide variety of drinks, food, music and dance.
Vizag has emerged a top tourist destination in Andhra Pradesh. It is like another Cape Town, the coastal city of South Africa. Both the cities have beautiful beaches surrounded by green hills. This year, more number of foreigners and people from other parts of India have been heading to Vizag for New Year celebrations, said a business man dealing in travels.
Some of the star hotels on the RK Beach Road area in the city, including The Park, Novotel and others, are offering complete entertainment packages for the New Year. International performers, DJs from various parts of the country, laser shows, lavish buffets, selected drinks and many others are being offered for the entertaintainment of tourists. “New Year is a time for celebration and this time we came to Vizag, one of the beautiful cities in India,” said Stephen from USA.
Similarly Nikhil Das, a software engineer from Kolkata says most people plan the much awaited year-end holiday on the coastal cities due to some reasons and now we landed Vizag this year to New Year bash.
