Thiruvananthapuram gears up for Happy New Year
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prominent hotels in the city have geared up to celebrate New Year with live music, lavish dinner and exhilarating wine.
Hotel Udaya Samudra will host India’s ‘largest international buffet’ with over 1,000 dishes spread for around half a kilometre.
Hilton Garden Inn will call in DJ Mash and Sonu Verma for spicing up its party. With unlimited food and beverages, Hilton will conduct separate parties at three different venues- bar, restaurant and ballroom—for around Rs 6,000.
“Our New Year’s eve celebrations have always been the best in the city. This year’s will be no different,” claims an official.
Taj Vivanta will host a New Year’s party with tickets priced at Rs 3,000 per head. The grand buffet in the restaurant will have mouth-watering delicacies.
Meanwhile, near the IT city, Hotel Lake Palace, Kadinamkulam, will hold Bollywood and belly dancing sessions along with grand food. It will have DJ Straws performing along with a live band and a fireworks will follow. The stag entry for Lake Palace’s party will be around Rs 2000.
The four-star Windsor Rajdhani will have live band in the restaurant. It has also planned fun activities and mehendi stalls.
As the countdown for the New Year begins, the taxi services are also receiving bookings from those who are out to enjoy the fun.
