Patna: Recent spurts of killings and endless extortion calls have forced the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Secular Alliance government to go on backfoot.

While police launched a manhunt in Bihar to nab the killers involved in the double murder case one more body of Vaishali based engineer created uproar in the state terming the government’s claims and assurances as “mere eyewash”.

The victim Ankit Jha an engineer with Reliance Telecom Company was involved in laying of optic fibre in Vaishali area and his body was recovered from an orchid on Tuesday.
According to sources he was murdered and later the criminals hid his body in the orchid.

Meanwhile the BJP on Tuesday mounted an attack on the state government and said “the criminals have started to raise their heads after the victory of Grand Secular Alliance in Bihar. Nitish Kumar has no control over administration”.

As per BJP claims three engineers and one businessman killed in Bihar since Saturday. Reacting sharply RJD Chief Lalu Yadav came forward in defense of the state government calling all allegations of Jungle Raj by the opposition as “baseless and politically motivated”.

Lalu Yadav’s stance was that the criminals creating havoc in the state were the same who had defied the state government when his party was in power in Bihar a decade ago.
“State government’s commitment cannot be questioned; there is rule of law in Bihar.

“I assure that the state government will strictly deal with criminals”, RJD Chief Lalu Yadav said on Tuesday. He also made an appeal to all district magistrates and Superintendent of police asking them to begin camping in rural areas at night to nab criminals.
