Illegally working Indian students' passports stamped inadmissible by US
About 150 Indians, of whom nearly 30 are Telugu, were identified and are being deported.
Hyderabad: The passports of students who worked illegally in the US have been stamped as “in-admissible”. They were trying to enter US on F1 visa.
Those who are caught by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement across the US are yet to be sent back to India. Students in the US have also informed consultants in India that a hotel in Virginia had been closed by US officials after it was found to be employing students illegally.
“Our students said that Department of Homeland Security and ICE took a special drive to identify students from all countries working in US legally. About 150 Indians, of whom nearly 30 were Telugu students, were identified and are being deported. The information was passed on to Indian Embassy,” said a consultant
