Hyderabad: Minar Foods sells adulterated sauce

Hyderabad: Cyberabad SOT raided an adulterated sauce manufacturing unit in Pahadishareef on Tuesday and seized huge quantities of various types of sauces and arrested two persons.

The owner of the unit, Md Iqbal ,43, a resident of Jalpally, is absconding. He had been running the sauce manufacturing unit, Minar Foods, under the Pahadishareef police station limits for five years. Supervisors Md Imtiaz ,46, and Md Asif Ali ,48, were arrested.
Based on a tip-off, SOT personnel raided the unit on Tuesday. “They adulterated different varieties of sauce by mixing potato pulp,” said a senior official from SOT.
In another incident, SOT raided a noodle manufacturing unit running without a licence in Rampally village under the limits of the Keesara police station.
Officials arrested supervisor K. Ashirwadam ,43, and seized packed and loose noodle, ingredients and noodle-making machinery. The owner, Vishwanath, is absconding.
The arrested persons and the seized material have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further action.
