Chennai: New Year revellers will have an extra mode of commute to return home after the late night bash this time. Chennai metro rail has offered to extend its services by a few hours on Koyambedu-Alandur elevated corridor on the night of January 31.
The last train will leave from Koyambedu at 1.30am and Alandur station at 2am on January 1, an announcement posted on CMRL’s official Facebook page said. Likewise, CMRL has advanced its morning operations by an hour to help passengers returning from their holidays. Train services will commence from Koyambedu station at 5 am and Alandur Station at 5:30 am on December 28 (Monday) and January 4.
