She played the Iconic Princess Leia at the age of 19. Actress Carrie Fisher, 59, was forced to defend herself against body shamers who commented on her appearance in the latest film The Force Awakens, which follows 40 years on.
Carrie took to social media on Tuesday to say she'd been hurt by a debate over whether or not she had aged well over those four decades. Carrie argued that her two male counterparts, who played Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker respectively, have been targeted less for the way that they have aged.
The actress later retweeted a supporter who observed: '@carrieffisher Men don't age better than women, they're just allowed to age.'
