Hyderabadis are very generous: Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi talks about her career, Hyderabad and working with Big B and Farhan Akhtar in Wazir.

Aditi wishes to work with South Indian film directors Gautham Menon and S.S. Rajamouli.
Hyderabadi girl Aditi Rao Hydari will next be seen in the Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar-starrer Wazir, and she is super excited.
Says Aditi, “I am happy to be associated with Wazir, it’s like a dream-come-true for me to be sharing screen space with Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan. It has a very gripping story and was a huge emotional investment.
About her character, Aditi says, “I represent the queen — as a chess piece. The story has drama, thrill and emotions.”
About her city connection, Aditi says, “I have grown up in Hyderabad but I also lived in Delhi. And I do miss my family’s love and their closeness whenever I am away from Hyderabad.
“People from Hyderabad are very gentle as well as generous. They are culturally motivated. This city brings in so much warmth and peace to a living environment.”
However, the city also has some drawbacks according to her. “I feel sad that a few architectural properties are not being well maintained. Also the traffic has increased a lot and the atmosphere is becoming polluted. But the beauty of Hyderabad scores over its drawbacks.”
Her acting career was an uphill task. “That was because I did not have any godfather; I had to work hard for the kind of films I would like to do,” she says and adds, “However, with the support of my family I could work hard… I always prefer doing challenging characters. My launch with Yeh Saali Zindagi propelled my career.
“I am happy that I have managed a little place, a bit of fame with the sincere efforts I have put in. Also, when I get calls from directors like Bejoy Nambiar, it gives me a boost,” she says.
Wishing to work with directors like S.S. Rajamouli and Gautam Menon, Aditi says she is looking forward to doing South films. “Both directors are great storytellers and it’s a dream for me to work with them,” she says.
About working with Amitabh Bachchan, she says, “I imbibe his energy; every day is a new day for him. The twinkle in his eye while performing any scene is so infectious… I took home a lot of lessons from him.”
