No secularism without Congress: VM Sudheeran

The idea of the Sangh Parivar is to divide people, but it will not be fulfilled in Kerala.

Thiruvananthapuram: Amidst talks of a Congress-CPM alliance, KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has said that the CPM cannot make any progress in politics unless it sheds its hatred towards the Congress.
Inaugurating the 131st foundation day of the Indian National Congress organised by the KPCC here on Monday, Mr Sudheeran said he didn't think the CPM would correct its mistakes through the plenum. He said no party could form a secular alliance by excluding the Congress.
Sudheeran asked to be vigilant against the BJP government’s communal agenda. The idea of the Sangh Parivar is to divide people, but it will not be fulfilled in Kerala.
“Differences of opinion among leaders should be set aside and work unitedly to enable the Congress to come back to power. Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s arrival will bring a new awakening among the party cadres,” said Sudheeran.
The CPM plenum convened the other day had taken a stand not to reject the chances of an alliance with Congress.
