Complaint against EVKS Elangovan

For allegedly passing an offensive remark against CM Jayalalithaa.
Chennai: A pro-Thevar community fringe group has filed a complaint with Chennai police against TNCC president E.V.K.S. Elangovan for allegedly passing an offensive remark against Chief Minister
J. Jayalalithaa.
The complainant, Isakkimuthu of the Pasumpon Makkal Iyakkam, met the city police commissioner and presented the complaint. Later, speaking to mediapersons, Isakkimuthu said, “Elangovan has forgotten to observe respect when talking about leaders of other national parties. Two months ago, he made a disparaging remark about Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar, then he commented against TMC leader, G.K. Vasan and BJP state president Tamizhisai Soundararajan and even his party seniors.”
“Now, he has made these comments about our Chief Minister Amma which is against Tamil culture,” he added, referring to Elangovan’s remark on MGR’s death anniversary posters put up by AIADMK party men, which had effusive words of praise for the Chief Minister as well.
