Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada local authorities constituency of the Legislative Council recorded 99.59 percent voting while Puttur and Sullia taluks in Dakshina Kannada recorded 100 per cent voting. The lowest voting was 99.58 in Mangaluru taluk.
The BJP which has over 3,000 voters, is confident of winning one seat in the dual seat constituency.
The real fight is for the other seat where Congress candidate Pratapchandra Shetty is fighting two party rebels- Jayaprakash Hegde and Harikrishna Bantwal. Congress rebel Jayaprakash Hegde said he was confident of winning the election.
