We will fight it out in Supreme Court: Salman Khan on hit-and-run case
Salman was recently acquitted of all charges by the Bombay High Court.
Mumbai: Salman Khan ringed in his 50th birthday on December 27 in a grand manner at his Panvel farmhouse with his dear ones. The media present at Salman's birthday bash quizzed the actor about his take on the verdict of 2002 hit-and-run case. The Maharashtra Government has been studying the case to file a fresh appeal and take the matters to the Supreme Court.
Salman gave a brave reply to this saying that he is ready to fight at the apex court. He said, "Bahut khushi ki baat hai ki mata pita ke sir se ek tension hatt gaya. Jayenge supreme court me jayenge, hak banta hai unka, wahan par bhi fight karenge." (It's a huge burden off my parents' shoulders. It's the government's right to appeal in the Supreme Court. We too will fight it in the Supreme Court.)
He added, "Ek life ki journey hai, life ki journey ko har moment me leta hoon, kabhi khushi kabhi gham toh hote rahenge, lekin jitna kum ghum utni zyada khushi, toh wohi maintain karke humari family chalti hai." (I savour every moment of my life, hardships and joys are part and parcel of life. My family believes in maintaining a balance between sadness and happiness.)
Salman was recently acquitted of all charges by the Bombay High Court in the infamous accident case. The bench stated that there was no concrete proof whether Salman was indeed driving the car that rammed into a footpath killing one and injuring others.
