Government would make honest efforts to solve the problems being faced by Home Guards.

Bengaluru: Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar has assured that the government would make honest efforts to solve the problems being faced by Home Guards. Mr Parameshwar, who took part in Home Guards’ Day here on Saturday, said the government would come up with plans to benefit the Home Guards in the coming budget. “The 25,000 strong force of Home Guards is the backbone of the police department, assisting them in various works. Their work during times of emergencies is commendable. The pay they get is not enough and the government will definitely look into these issues,” he said. DGP of Fire and Emergency Services M.N. Reddi and other senior officers took part in the event.
