MLC encroached government land: Ramesh

CID probe should be ordered into the alleged encroachment.
BENGALURU: Former corporator from Yediyur ward NR Ramesh on Saturday said a CID probe should be ordered into the alleged encroachment of raja kaluve by MLC M.R. Seetaram. At a press conference he said that Mr Seetaram and family has encroached about 6.24 acres of government land and raja kaluve, all worth Rs 950 crore. He demanded that the government must initiate action against them and recover the encroached property.
A medical college and Mr Seetharam’s office have come up on the alleged encroached land. The land has been encroached upon on survey number 9, 10 and 11 of Chikkamarenahalli and Mathikere, Ramesh alleged. Of the 6.24 acres of land, 3.22 acres belong to IISc and 3.02 acres of raja kaluve belongs to BBMP. The BBMP’s Storm Water Drain (SWD) wing has furnished a drawing showing the deviation of drain from its original path.
This is a clear indication that the drain and government land have been grabbed by fabricating documents, he said and added that complaints have been lodged with ACMM Court and Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF).
