Lucknow: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the terror outfit Islamic State can never strengthen its hold in India due to the country's strong cultural and traditional values.
"I am very sure ISIS can't ever strengthen its hold in India, I hold our strong cultural and traditional values responsible for this," Rajnath said while addressing a public meeting here.
"As Home Minister, I want to tell you that Indian Muslims are the ones who don't let their children get influenced or radicalised by ISIS," he added.
Recently, three students from Hyderabad, were detained by the Telangana Police and Maharashtra ATS at Nagpur airport in suspicion of their way to Syria to join the Islamic State (IS).
This is the second time that two of them have been detained, after a similar attempt last year.
