Hyderabad: Two of those caught while they were about to board a flight to join, got their cousin to join them later, it was revealed. A top intelligence official of the Telangana police told Deccan Chronicle:
“They were two last time, this time they took along with them their cousin Omar Faruq Hussaini . The trio left for Nagpur by bus on Friday. From there they were to fly by an Indigo flight to Srinagar at 8.15 am and reach Srinagar by 1.25 pm. We wanted pick them up around 5.30 am when they reached the airport. But we alerted Maharasthra ATS to avoid any likely delays.”
The Indigo flight was scheduled to travel to Srinagar via Indore and Delhi. The Telangana police will bring them back to Hyderabad. A criminal case under IPC sections for conspiracy and waging war against the nation would be booked against after verifying their intentions.
Police said the trio was not part of any sleeper cell or terror group though they have “Jihadi bent of mind”. The Telangana police has so far stopped 21 terror suspects who were intending to join the ISIS and counselled them.
