Mumbai: Bollywood’s ‘Bhaijaan’ Salman Khan turns 50 today, and to celebrate this milestone, the actor held a grand party at his Panvel farmhouse. Celebrations to ring in Salu’s birthday began early Saturday evening, with the actor’s lush green lawns being decorated and light up for the occasion.
Reports early this month state that the star was planning a small gathering, but by the looks of the pictures that made their way online, the celebrations were anything but ‘small’.
For the party, Salman called on some of his closest friends, family and co-workers from the industry. While there were many familiar faces like Sania Mirza, Farha Khan, Tabu, Karisma Kapoor, Maliaka Arora Khan, Sooraj Pancholi, Harshali Malhotra, there were also a few of his friends from outside the Bollywood industry who showed up to greet the actor on his birthday.
According to online reports, the guests began arriving late Saturday evening, in time for the midnight bash. Many more followed closely behind and were reportedly waiting for the birthday boy to make his appearance.
For the party Salman put on a simple grey Being Human tee with ripped denims. Like every year, the actor also made special arrangements for the kids that accompanied their parents to the bash.
The actor was presented with a multi tired cake which had a personal touch. Salman’s treasured moments were printed on edible fondant, one of which included a photo of his dog Veer on the top of his cake. Veer, who had been with Slaman for over a decade, and even accompanied him to the ‘PRDP’ sets, passed away early this year.
For the cake cutting, Salman was surrounded by his family and guests. His sisters, mother and brothers stood by his side as he cut the towering cake. Also spotted behind him, was his rumoured love interest Iulia Vantur.
