Lahore: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, gangraped and tortured by seven persons including a worker of the Pakistan's ruling PML-N party.
The suspects kidnapped the class Xth student from outside her house in Sabzazar Housing Colony on Friday and took him to a hotel where they took turns to rape her, according to the police.
Police said that over the victim's complaint, she was taken to a nearby hospital where medical tests confirmed that she had been subjected to rape and torture after which an FIR was lodged against the culprits.
"Mian Adnan, an office-bearer of the ruling PML-N had kidnapped the girl outside her house and he along with his six accomplices raped and tortured her," Usman said.
Police have so far arrested six persons while the main accused was absconding. The hotel where the incident took place was sealed by the police and its manager was arrested.
Meanwhile, Punjab province Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Lahore police chief to provide justice to the victim.
