Suresh Prabhu to flag off weekly train to Shirdi
Nellore: Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will flag off a new weekly express train service between Tirupati and Sainagar Shirdi at a function scheduled to be held at Tirupati Railway Station on Saturday at 4.30 pm.
With the introduction of the train, railways met the longstanding demand for a direct link from the abode of Lord Balaji, Tirupati with Shirdi, the Sanctum Sanctorum of Saibaba.
Minister for municipal administration and Chittoor district in-charge minister, Dr. P. Narayana, and minister for forests B. Gopalakrishna Reddy will be the guests of honour for this function.
En route, the train covers a host of major cities and towns, in addition to offering one more option of travel for the people of twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad since the train passes through the city.
Train No. 17417 Tirupati-Sainagar Shirdi weekly express train will depart Tirupati at 7 am on every Tuesday with effect from January 5, 2016, arrive/ depart at Secunderabad at 9 pm / 9.20 pm and reach Sainagar Shirdi at 12.15 pm the next day.
In the return direction, train No. 17418 Sainagar Shirdi-Tirupati weekly express train will depart Sainagar Shirdi at 7.10 am on every Wednesday with effect from January 6, 2016, arrive/depart Secundera-bad at 9.25 am / 9.35 am the next day and reach Tirupati at 11.45 pm.
En route, these trains will stop at Renigunta, Koduru, Rajampeta, Nandalur, Kadapa, Yerraguntla, Muddanur, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir, Tandur, Vi-karabad, Lingampalli, Secu-nderabad, Malkajgiri, Kam-areddi, Nizamabad, Basar, Dharmabad, Mudkhed, Na-nded, Purna, Parbhani, Se-lu, Partur, Jalna, Aurang-abad, Nagarsol, Manmad, Kopargaon and Puntamba stations in both directions.
However, the inaugural service of train No. 07417 Tirupati-Sainagar Shirdi special express train will depart Tirupati at 4.30 pm, arrive/ depart Secunderabad at 7 pm / 7.15 pm the next day and arrive Sainagar Shirdi at 9 pm.
