Hyderabad: The Telangana State Haj Committee said applications for Haj 2016 would be issued from January 14 to February 8. Prof. SA Shukoor, special officer, said the Haj Committee of India had finalised the action plan for Haj 2016, according to which Qurrah (draw of lots) to select pilgrims would be held between March 15 and 23.
He said that the Haj quota for TS and AP would be allotted on the basis of 2011 Census and the Telangana State Haj Com-mittee would make the arran-gements for pilgrims from AP. He said chartered flights would take off from August 4 to September 5 for Haj 2016 that is scheduled on September 10, 2016. He said applicants would have to submit copies of their passport with the applications.
