Hyderabad: A nine-year-old boy from Mailardevpally is missing for the last two days. The boy’s family suspects that he was kidnapped by one Irfan.
Cops investigating the case said Syed Obaiduddin, a Class IV student at Layola School did not return home on Tuesday after he went out to buy groceries.
“He went to a kirana shop in his neighbourhood and did not return. Someone in the area told us that a man came on a bike and picked up a boy after asking his for the address of a local masjid,” said Muneeruddin, the victim’s father who works with the BSNL in Amangal.
The incident occurred in Moghal colony during day time.
The police said they could not find any eyewitness to the incident so far to prove that it was a kidnap.
“We are yet to hear of any motive if it was a case of kidnap. No instance of previous enmity or financial issues has been cited. We have formed teams to track down the boy,” said Mailardevpally police inspector Venkat Reddy.
