Hyderabad: Drunk man kills wife for not cooking mutton curry

Hyderabad: A drunken man recently set his wife ablaze for not cooking mutton curry properly at Mailardevpally. On Thursday, four days after the incident, the victim C. Sulojana succumbed to injuries at OGH. The police said that the accused C. Chander Rao, on December 20, poured kerosene over his wife and set her on fire when he found that the mutton curry was not well cooked. Shanker, who is a labourer, was drunk at the time of the offence. The victim’s mother and daughter raised an alarm and neighbours rushed and took her to hospital. “We are altering the case to murder,” police said.
