Chinese Consul General calls on Nitish Kumar
Patna: China on Thursday expressed its desire to cooperate with Bihar for development in culture, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
Chinese Consul General Ma Zhanwu today expressed this during his meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Zhanwu, accompanied by the Vice-Consul of Chinese Consulate General Wang Xiang, made a courtesy call to Kumar at his official residence, during which he expressed the desire to cooperate with the state government for development in sectors like culture, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure, an official release said.
Welcoming the Chinese envoy, the Chief Minister apprised him about ongoing development works in Bihar and identified sectors like energy and skill development as areas of cooperation, it said.
Zhanwu extended invitation to Kumar to visit China, the release added. The Chinese envoy had earlier this week called on the Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind and extended him an invitation to visit China next year.
