Harbhajan Singh keen to invest in Sri Lanka

The Indian tweaker met Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake to discuss opportunities.

Colombo: The star Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is to invest in Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday.

Harbhajan met Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake in his office on Tuesday and discussed investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

The Ministry quoted Singh as saying he was looking forward to invest in Sri Lanka given the long standing friendly relations between the two countries.

Karunanayake had stressed that his 2016 budget approved in parliament early this week encourages foreign direct investment and Singhs expression of interest was a justification of the budget policy goals on investment.

The spinner had a great outing in Sri Lanka during the Test series in August.

Harbhajan also posted a picture of him along with Kohli and Stuart Binny enjoying a 'tuk-tuk' ride in the city. Sri Lankans call autorickshaws as tuk-tuks.

Along with skipper Virat Kohli and bowler Ishant Sharma, he also enjoyed a game of badminton in between.
