Hyderabad: The Telangana Municipal Workers and Employees Union said on Tuesday that salaries of thousands of contract workers had not been released for two months and for a longer duration elsewhere in TS.
A union delegation led by its president P. Bhaskar and secretary Khamar Ali met director of municipal administration Dana Kishore and urged him to immediately release the salaries.
There are over 25,000 contract workers in various municipalities. Municipal officials said the file has been forwarded and sala-ries would be released at the earliest.
