Juvenile should not have been released in Nirbhaya case: Priyanka Chopra
'Jai Gangaajal' is slated to release on March 4th 2016.

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra, who left everyone spellbound with her path breaking performance as Kashibai in the recent release ‘Bajirao Mastani’, will now be seen as a powerful cop in ‘Jai Gangaajal’. The film also marks the acting debut of director Prakash Jha. Priyanka Chopra launched the trailer along with the entire cast and crew today.
When asked Priyanka about the release of the juvenile in Nirbhaya case, she opposed the release of the juvenile, she said, “It is something I don't agree with. It's such a heinous crime it’s unforgivable. I am a law abiding citizen so I'll go with whatever the law decides but it was too heinous a crime.”
Present there was director Prakash Jha who added, “In general, I am trying to say that reduce the rate of juvenile to 16 years. You cannot generalise. Whether you reduce it to 16 years, do you mean to say 15-year old cannot commit that crime? That is not the solution. It's a bigger debate. It is education, major education which is needed.”
The 2012 Delhi gang rape case involved fatal assault and a rape that occurred on 16 December 2012 in south Delhi.
