Thrissur: Kerala State Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday suspended the driver and conductor of its Vadakkencherry Depot in Palakkad for allegedly forcing off social worker and environmental activist Daya Bai from the bus on Saturday night at Aluva.
Assistant Transport Officer at Palakkad Depot told DC that as soon as the news broke on Sunday morning, the vigilance department asked the duo to explain on the matter.
He said that suspension order for driver A Yousaf and conductor K N Shilan was sent to the Vadakkaencherry depot on Monday morning.
Sources say there was confusion over the exact stop Daya Bai meant to alight that led to the argument.
