A day-long event was organised by Malabar Cultural Forum and Women's Initiatives in association with sexual minorities, sex workers, support organisations and individuals.

The Supreme Court on December 11, 2013 had overruled the Delhi High Court judgment and recriminalised homosexuality.
“It is indeed great that sexual minorities are joining other marginalised movements, including sex workers, dalits and oppressed communities to effect social changes,” said Gurukiran, Women's Initiative, and supporter of Kerala Network of Sex Workers.
“Our silent rally was symbolic that though the law has suppressed their voices and freedom, sexual minorities are together and united,” he said.
The community raised their demands including, speedy implementation of the transgender persons Bill. They also urged Parliament to repeal IPC 377 and requested Kerala Assembly to amend IPC 377 to exclude consensual sex between adults from its purview.
A documentary, That's my boy, on Mr. Sonu Niranjan, a female-to-male transperson, was screened during the convention. It highlighted the dilemmas of female-to-male transpersons migration, sex reassignment surgery and social situations.
