Hyderabad: Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences will be a designated unit of the National Organ Transplant Centre to ensure that the organ donation process is streamlined.
The Union health ministry is also planning to train all medical students in the transplant process so that there is a trained force to handle transplant cases.
The Jeevadaan organ donation programme of the state government has been highly appreciated and a model is being created for the other states on the same lines.
