Hyderabad High Court seeks status of migrants in state

The bench was dealing with a taken up PIL case remitted from the Supreme Court of India.

Hyderabad: A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt of the Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to place reports explaining the working conditions of migrant workers and the safety steps taken in the brick kilns in both states and the welfare measures taken for the migrants in these kilns.

The bench was dealing with a taken up PIL case remitted from the Supreme Court of India.The SC had taken up the case of the pathetic conditions of migrant labourers in Odisha and erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.
