Three-year-old boy in the UK soon to legally be renamed ‘Popcorn’

If Diesel wasn’t an odd enough name for a kid, one three-year-old boy’s parents have decided to change it for something decidedly more unusual – Popcorn. Diesel Roberts’ parents, Hazel Williams and Huw Roberts came up with the solution after they saw that their child simply refused to respond to anything else.

The couple chose the name because their son’s kicks in the womb reminded them of the popping that happens after corn is cooked in a saucepan, according to pretty52.com.

In case, the parents stick to their decision of making Popcorn’s name official via deed poll then he will be the first child in the UK to go by that name, according to a national database of babies’ names.
