My film will not hurt anyone’s sentiment: AMR Ramesh

The buzz is that the film is inspired by the suspicious death of Sunanda Pushkar.
Manisha Koirala is back to Tamil after a long gap and is rumoured to reprise the late Sunanda Pushkar in AMR Ramesh’s Oru Melliya Kodu (OMK). While ‘Action King’ Arjun will be seen as an investigating officer, actor Shaam is said to play a role that will remind us Shashi Tharoor. The buzz is that the film is inspired by the suspicious death of Sunanda Pushkar.
Ramesh says on the subject, “My earlier films like Kuppi (on the Rajiv Gandhi killing) and Vana Yuddham (on forest brigand Veerappan) were based on real-life sensitive issues. So, people think that this film is also based on a real life incident. I can’t reveal if OMK is based on Sunanda’s death. The story is about a lady from high society who gets murdered under mysterious circumstances and the police suspect her husband’s involvement. I can vouch that the content of the film is non-controversial and will not affect anyone's sentiment.”
Shaam, who is working with Manisha for the first time, says, “Despite working with the biggies of the south, she was simple and down to earth. Her energy levels were high and infectious. You will see the same Manisha of Bombay and Mudhalvan in this film.”
