The ‘Beep Song’ has been in the headlines for the past few days, thanks to its ‘catchy’ and belittling lyrics. Simbu and Anirudh have been criticised by feminists and other outfits alleging that the duo insulted women. The Kovai police summoned both Simbu and Anirudh though both of them refused to turn up. Meanwhile, Anirudh who was busy with his musical concert in Toronto, cleared the air by saying that he has no connection with the song.
Now, in an interview to a private TV channel, Simbu too has stated that Anirudh is in no way related to the song. The actor, who was seen speaking in an emotional tone throughout, refused to apologise, as he believed the song wasn’t released officially nor was it from any film. He also added that the issue was blown out of proportion.
