Roads to yagam site spruced up
Hyderabad: The area around Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s 70-acre farm house in Erravalli of Medak district and the Rajiv Rahadari leading to the venue from Secunderabad are being spruced up for the five-day Ayuti Maha Chandi Yagam beginning December 23.
The 65-km portion of the highway till Mr Rao’s farmhouse is being given a facelift while a 60-feet road is being laid on the 7-km stretch from Gowraram junction via the farmhouse and beyond. Police personnel man all major entry points to the venue. A makeshift helipad has been constructed.
Guesthouses have been built for VVIPs near the yagashala besides a huge dining place.
Visitors from Hyderabad taking the Rajiv Rahadari will have to take a right turn from Gowraram junction and travel via Pamulaparty and Gangapur crossroads to reach the venue.
Those coming from Siddipet can take a left at Jagdevpur crossroads and another right from Narsannapet. Provision has been made for parking of 20,000 vehicles.
