Open and shut case, will win lawsuit against Gandhis in 2016, says Swamy
New Delhi: Unfazed by the Court’s decision to grant unconditional bail in the National Herald case, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday expressed confidence and said he would win the case against Gandhis in 2016.
“It’s an open and shut case. I will win this case in 2016, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others will be sent to prison,” he said while speaking to the media outside the Patiala house court.

Responding to Congress’ charge that Prime Minister Modi is using his as a ‘mask’, Swamy said that he had never spoken to Modi regarding the National Herald case.
He went on to describe what happened in the courtroom and claimed the Gandhis were not allowed to sit and had to stand in a corner.
“When the Gandhis came, they were made to stand in a corner where the accused are supposed to be, the were not allowed to sit,” he said.

''They have got all the top lawyers in the country, six of them who are the most high-priced lawyers. Why are they so scared to have the mob coming and making all this drama," he added.
The Congress had launched a no-holds barred attack against government over the case, accusing it of resorting to "unprecedented" level of vendetta politics and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying Swamy was his "mask".
Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad calling Swamy a "mask" for Modi, and said the BJP functionary has been awarded with a bungalow for dragging Congress leadership to court even though he was not a Parliamentarian or government official.
"He (Swamy) has been placed under Z-category and allotted a government bungalow. He is not a member of the Parliament nor from a border state. He is not facing any threat from any terrorist organisation...The bungalow was given as an award for dragging the Congress leadership to court," said Azad.
