Deepika Padukone helps Ranveer Singh bid adieu to his 'Bajirao' moustache

Mumbai: After the phenomenal success at the box-office and the praises that poured in with the reviews, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ journey has now come to an end. The two stars thought of an appropriate way to bid goodbye to their reel characters, and what better way than shaving off all resemblances of the great Peshwa?

Ranveer who played the Maratha warrior, beat all odds for over a year to keep his look ‘under hats’. One thing that stood the test of time, was his many moustaches, that grew and curled over time. On Friday night, Ranveer gave his leading lady Deepika the honours of cutting off his moustache.

The stars later share a video of the ‘trimming session’ that they captioned, “This just happened!!!”

While Deepika looked excited and happy, Ranveer seemed shocked and a little disappointed. Back in 2013, Ranveer had a similar 'moustache cutting ceremony', when he gave his best bud Arjun Kapoor the honours of cutting off his ‘Gunday’ mooch that he wore so well to all his press meets and public appearances.

While ‘Bajirao’ continues to charge forward at the box-office and capture hearts with its beautiful story, Ranveer will move on to begin prep on Aditya Chopra’s ‘Befikre’.
