China’s scenic town, Wuzhen plays a perfect host for the Second World Internet Conference. China last year declared it as the permanent host place of the World Internet Conference.- The 'Bridge within a Bridge' is a scenic attraction created by two ancient bridges, the Tongji Bridge which crosses the river from east to west and the Renji Bridge running from south to north that joins the former at one end. - Wuzhen has a total population of 60,000, of which 12,000 are permanent residents.
- Wuzhen is divided into six districts--traditional workshops, local-styled dwelling houses, culture, food and beverage, traditional shops, and the water township customs and life.
- Tourists have been not allowed into the town since Friday and authorities set up a security headquarters a few weeks ago, requiring residents to register.
- Almost 2,000 people from 120 countries and regions attended the conference including officials from technology giants including Nokia, Apple, Kaspersky, IBM and Samsung.
- Located in the centre of the six ancient towns south of Yangtze river, Wuzhen displays its history through its ancient stone bridges, stone pathways and delicate wood carvings.
