Raipur: It may sound weird but it is true that students of a school in a Chhattisgarh village have to be “empowered to tame the ghosts” to go to ‘haunted’ school.
The middle school in Madtirai village in Rajnandgaon district has of late witnessed bizarre incidents of students suddenly losing their consciousness. The villagers believed that the school was haunted and stopped sending children to the school.
The matter was brought to the notice of local block education officer who consulted doctors, who in turn suggested psychological solution. Now, each student has been given peepal leaves before entering the school.
An impression was given to them that the leaves will exorcise the ghosts.
